Sean Han Tani, co-creator of Anodyne and Even the Ocean, has announced his upcoming game. Hence the coming release of All Our Asias, for Mac and Windows available late 2017.

What about a Linux release?

“I am using Unity for All Our Asias. There will likely be a Linux port because of Unity’s ease of export.”

So we just got word that the Linux release might not be on day-one. Therefore, bug fixes will indeed take precedence. Since Sean Han Tani is trying to support as many platforms as possible. Either way, the games looking really trippy yet intriguing.

So All Our Asias is a surreal, lo-fi, 3D adventure. The games about about identity, race, and nationality.

The protagonist’s name is Yuito. A 31 year old, Japanese-American. Also a hedge fund analyst, but USA-born and raised. So one day he receives a letter from his estranged father. His father is dying. Therefore it’s too late for Yuito to speak to him.

Since his father is on life support. Yuito has an opportunity. He can undergo a Memory World Visitation and enter his father’s Memory World. Hence a series of supernatural landscapes. Where Yuito can explore his father’s experiences and secrets.

It is risky, but the idea of meeting his father. And perhaps something more, compels Yuito to make the journey.

So people and places Yuito encounters along the way….. This will be the story of the game.
