Developer TNgineers are buzzing with excitement to announce their laidback, beekeeping sim game, APICO. Due to make its way onto Steam on May 20th, 2022. The release goes along with World Bee Day. Doing so in order to promote the critically important message of bee conservation. A portion of APICO’s sales will bee donated towards national and international beekeeping. As well as wild bee conservation charities.
TNgineers is the duo of brothers Ell and Jamie. They were inspired by their love of old Minecraft mods, casual, and crafting games. Then due to work on their own projects. While creating something relaxing, exciting, and semi-educational. This is why the beekeeping in APICO is based on real-life apiculture (the acurate term for beekeeping). As well as floriculture (the cultivation of flowers) methods. Due to release with the music of extremely talented composer Mothense. Bee keepers will breed, collect, and conserve bees in a series of lush settings. All animated in beautiful sprite art.

In APICO, players will leave their pointless and empty corporate jobs. While returning to their family home in Port APICO and get back to what really matters. Which is bee-ing the best beekeeper they can bee. Combining resource gathering, biology, and minigames. Along with ideas from both real-life and fantasy beekeeping and gardening. APICO is due to teach players about the ins and outs of keeping a healthy hive. And also the vital key to our irreparable pollinating pals.

The islands of APICO were once abuzz with various species of bees. So it’s up to players to rediscover lost species, cross breed new ones, and repopulate each unique bee-ome. Getting further into the game may also uncover some lost secrets.
