arc savior simulation shooter to drop soon on windows linux games

ARC SAVIOR is a simulation shooter ready to drop on Windows, but we have news about Linux support. Squid Monkey Studios announces the games launch date. Since the studios is ready to hit Steam on January 31st 2019.

ARC SAVIOR is a single player space combat game reminiscent of Star Fox and Freespace. While gameplay is spread over three stories, each with its own characters, challenges and plot.

The game itself is a love letter to the old space combat genre. Where all six degrees of control are in use throughout large open environments. There are also a variety of ships to choose from and a plethora of weapons as well. Each mission has its own twists, turns and dangers. Also fueling an immersive narrative, where players work to save the Terran population.

Players take on the roll of the newest pilot. So you must adapt and survive by exploring and defending your way of life. You will also have to choose from the most advanced ships and weaponry. Taking on new enemies, some known, some unexpected. Players will have to experiment with their loadout and Linux is in the mix.

Linux Support:

“The game is currently in its final BETA stages. And I am cramming quite furiously to have it finalized for its release at the end of the month.

It has been built in Unity and will initially be ported to PC and eventually Xbox. While I do have plans for a Linux release, it won’t be until sometime later in Q1 2019, all going well.”

So this is indeed some good news. Squid Monkey Studios is keen to bring ARC SAVIOR to as many platforms as possible. The shooter games development is using Unity 3D, which should be no surprise. But the simulation shooter gameplay trailer below looks rather fluid.
