Aspyr Media announcement for coming releases

Aspyr Media are excited to share some BIG news.  It’s been a busy week of #game #launches, #announcements, and even more coming in the next few weeks.  Here’s the highlights:

Sid Meier’s Civilization VI – The next entry in the award-winning Civilization franchise is now available to pre-order on Steam complete with the early access to the Aztec Civilization Pack thanks to Aspyr Media.

“Those who pre-order Civilization VI will exclusively gain early access* to the Aztec civ, led by Montezuma I, when the game launches on October 21, 2016. After 90 days, this content will unlock for all Civilization VI players at no additional charge.

Montezuma I, born in 1398, was the fifth king of the city of Tenochtitlan and second emperor of the Aztecs. His 29-year reign was categorized by a major consolidation and expansion of the Aztec Empire, also known as the Triple Alliance, as well as enacting a new series of sumptuary laws – which aim to curb rampant consumption of goods and decadent lifestyles – that reinforced an already existing class system permeating every facet of Aztec life.

Montezuma I’s reign ended when he passed away from unknown causes in 1469 AD. He was succeeded by his 19-year-old son Axayacatl, who later sired Montezuma II – the Aztec leader who managed to lose it all to Hernan Cortes and his group of conquistadors.”

Layers of Fear: Solitude – The psychedelic horror experience of the fan-favourite franchise, Layers of Fear, is coming to Google’s mobile VR platform, Daydream. That is if you do or want to explore mobile VR, as native Linux support is currently not available.
The gameplay has been redesigned for an optimal VR experience, the player takes on the first person perspective of a psychologically disturbed painter trying to complete his magnum opus while battling ghastly visions and a crumbling psyche.

Jade Empire: Special Edition was also mentioned in an Aspyr Media PR post, but the release is only for Mac.

Now, if you have eager for that Civilization VI launch, it’s available now for pre-order on Steam.
