Warner Bros. has #confirmed Batman: Arkham Knight has a new “dual play” mechanic. Allowing the #player to #switch between Batman and allies, Robin, Nightwing and Catwoman, all in “free-flow combat”.
The video shows Batman working with Robin, Nightwing and Catwoman in what appears to be tag-team combat. Developer Rocksteady and publisher Warner Bros. have yet to announce any details about co-op gameplay. So we presume these tag-team attacks with some sort of AI controlled allies, with possible challenge rooms. Possible combination moves where certain key combinations can deliver crushing blows to enemies. Or a particular point in the campaign, where Batman works with a partner in crime fighting.
Word has already been released that you can play Harley Quinn in a downloadable content challenge map pack. Where you fight within the Blüdhaven Police Department prior to the events of the Arkham Knight.
Also, take note this video confirms a mysterious assassin Azrael in the game.
Batman: Arkham Knight is due out 23rd June 2015 for Windows PC, with a Linux, SteamOS and Mac build coming this Fall.
