So in gaming news, DONTNOD ELEVEN are working on their #competitive 2.5D multiplayer #shooter, BATTLECREW Space Pirates. While a closed beta test just finished, the developer introduced two #multiplayer modes and the ability to create squads.

Since the game takes place in an original and iconic Space Pirates universe. While players control charismatic heroes, each having their own unique characteristics and skills. Hence the closed beta opens gamers to 5 different maps through 2 competitive multiplayer modes, Gold Rush and Team Deathmatch. While including a Team Deathmatch mode available exclusively during the closed beta. So once the game arrives in Steam Early Access, Team Deathmatch will be added later on as a free update.

The biggest new feature during the closed beta is the ability to create squads. So gamers can now invite their friends. Hence creating their own team of space pirates and raid the worlds of BATTLECREW Space Pirates together!

So DONTNOD ELEVEN are developing BATTLECREW Space Pirates in Unreal Engine 4. Which means we reached to the developers to see what the likelihood would be for a Linux port:

“The game is developed on Unreal 4.
For now, we’re focusing on the PC version, a LINUX one is under consideration but it’s too early to say.”

While this supplementary, we created a Linux support post in the Steam Discussions for all those interested in a native port.
