More gaming news for #Paradox Interactive. Having just announced a #partnership with #HarebrainedSchemes. Hence the studio behind the Shadowrun Returns series, to publish BATTLETECH. The first turn-based tactical ‘Mech PC game in over 20 years. All set in the MechWarrior universe. Since the game design is being led by Jordan Weisman, creator of BattleTech and MechWarrior. While also including Mitch Gitelman, Producer of the MechCommander series. And Mike McCain, Creative Director of the Shadowrun series. BATTLETECH was successfully Kickstarted in November 2015. And now Paradox is providing a full loadout of publishing support in BATTLETECH’s launch.

So thanks to the generous support of the Kickstarter gaming community. This will be the first turn-based tactical BattleTech game on Linux, Mac and Windows PC in more than 20 years. While set in the year 3025. The universe continue a cycle of perpetual war. Due to the militarized noble houses utilizing huge, mechanized combat vehicles called BattleMechs. Therefore players will take command of their own Mercenary outfit. While struggling to stay afloat as they find themselves drawn into a bloody interstellar civil war. The game features explosive tactical `Mech combat. Deep Mercenary management gameplay, a rewarding story campaign, and addictive PvP multiplayer. While the game will launch in 2017, there is no release date yet.

News update May 16th, 2017 for the Linux release:

We plan to have the final release available for Linux on day-one although haven’t set a release date for that yet.

BATTLETECH will make a Linux, Mac and Windows PC gaming release in 2017. According to the Kickstarter, this is will take place in May 2017. Yet the Steam page still does not have a specific release date. Therefore, we are waiting to hear back from Harebrained Schemes. Therefore we will have more news coming soon.
