beat cop officially available now on steam, gog, humble store in linux gaming news

While is the time to pick up some doughnuts and hit the streets of ’80s Brooklyn. Hence the non-linear #gaming #adventure simulator of #policedrama, retro aesthetics, and humor makes a debut. Beat Cop is now available for Linux, Mac and Windows PC.
So those who are excited by this news can buy the game via Steam, GOG and Humble Store.

Check out the Beat Cop launch trailer here:

So travel back to 1986 as former detective Jack Kelly. Now framed for murder and demoted to the lowest ranks. Hence now forgotten by old pals. So this is your last chance to uncover the truth behind this crazy mess. Just don’t forget about writing tickets. You’re a beat cop, after all.

Beat Cop is a full out retro, pixel art style adventure in New York. All inspired by 80’s cop shows. Which we originally announced in April of 2016. So the story is still the same, players take on Jack Kelly, framed for murder. Now playing as a regular beat cop, you have to find out who did all this. Therefore players can definitely expect a thick crime story. Hence a lot of black humour. Plus all of the other things you would find on the streets of Brooklyn.

So gameplay is not for the faint of heart. This is a real cop story where players face a real challenge. While blending a point-and-click adventure, strategy, drama and comedy.
Fun fact: the population in isn’t arbitrary. Since the developers did some digging. Basing the gameplay on actual demographics of 1980’s NYC. Just a little tip, from gaming news to you.

Beat Cop is out now for Linux, Mac and Windows PC. Hence available on Steam, GOG and Humble Store.
