Black Powder Red Earth turn based tactics get a full release in Linux gaming, Mac, and Windows PC. Thanks to the continuing efforts of developer Echelon Software. Available on Steam with 92% Very Positive reviews.
Black Powder Red Earth has evolved from a first person shooter to an even more impressive game. Since you can expect to dive into a minute to minute turn based tactics game. One that also takes place in a proxy war. Facing off between the dictatorship of a failing petro state and a brutal jihadist insurgency. Fighting in war torn urban sprawls, players lead a highly skilled and enabler unit. Fulfilling lively actions with full lethal relief to accomplish their missions.
So now, after spending a year in early access to tune gameplay. We can now see a fine tuned UI and even more Black Powder Red Earth features:
- Campaign Mode
Story driven kill-no capture operations, complete with cutscenes (more on this later).
- Operations Mode
One off high threat missions taking place in one of six unique operating areas.
A fully interactive in-game tutorial that teaches players the basics of the title.
- Audio Redesign
With newly crafted sound effects and an expanded soundtrack. Thanks to guitarist, Takafumi Matsubara (Mortalized, GridLink).
Black Powder Red Earth 8Bit War Launch Trailer
The gameplay will force players to make quick decisions. So this will mean a strong focus, with no-frills tactical experience. All while following four key principles.
- Speed is security
- Don’t fight the whole city
- Never go into a fight with only one gun
- Keep shooting until the target changes shape or catches fire
Since this are no tech-trees, base building, or role playing elements. Since you only have to fire and move to fix and finish your targets. Poor planning or these tactics will kill every one of your assaulters. Without fail. So plan wisely.
Black Powder Red Earth turn based tactics full release is out now. Price sees an increase from $14.99 USD to $19.99 USD now. Continuing support in Linux gaming, Mac and Windows PC. And of course, available on Steam.
