Blade Symphony a slash em up games now Free to Play for Linux, Mac and Windows. Thanks to the recent update from developer
Puny Human. Who make the game Free to Play on Steam. So that this game could be more accessible. And have a longer life.
Blade Symphony reviews on Steam seem to be most negative. Which seems to be due to connectivity. Also the mechanics and style of gameplay seems confusing. But what sword fighting game is supposed to be easy?
Blade Symphony features an in-depth sword fighting system. Since you have to face down other players. Doing so in tactical swordplay, 2 versus 2 team duels. As well as a sandbox FFA. Or the Control Points game mode.
As for the changes in this release. There are new unlockables in town. So as players progress up the level chain. They will either be given the existing items. Or new items that we’ve put into Blade Symphony.
In total, 48 new items have been added. So this adds more content for trading and purchasing. Hopefully this, plus the new Free to Play model encourages more players.
For those of you with performance issues. This is an improvement to asset streaming. It’s also a toggle in the video settings to turn it on or off. Please try and play with it. Because this could help stream more aggressively. And the developer wants to work on this feature more. They’re also doing our best to improve general performance too.

Also the duel_castle has a rebuild from the ground up. The Castle is a favorite of many. So now the performance has an update. Which also means starting from scratch. Karo, the original author of the map was a big help. Allowing the developer to give it some love.
There is also Find Duel option to the Main Menu. There are parameters that you can also toggle. But this should help players quickly get into the fight.
Blade Symphony has four characters. Each has a unique fighting style. Depending how you want to play.
- Phalanx, a fencer gladiator hybrid, attacks with long range stabs and a versatile array of side attacks
- Judgement, a knight crossed with a samurai, uses hard hitting forward attacks and wide strafing attacks
- Ryoku, a vagrant street ninja, attacks with break dance moves and a signature reverse blade style
- Pure, an acrobatic wushu style assassin that attacks with flips, cartwheels, extremely mobile
- Vanguard, a quick-footed champion that uses leaning plunges to push opponents into her blade
So now that Blade Symphony slash em up is Free to Play. This is a good time to check out the game. Since it is playable on Linux, Mac and Windows.
