bloodstained: ritual of the night dico interview for linux mac windows games

Since Koji Igarashi’s ArtPlay released a new video. Hence the upcoming #Igavania game Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night for Linux, Mac and #Windows PC’s.

So the video focuses on DICO. A Tokyo-based developer that has been working with ArtPlay to develop the game. While more specifically focusing on the #games unnamed Technical Director.

Interview with DICO

So the video is all subtitled. Since it’s Iga himself doing the interviewing. Talking about the challenges of developing a 2.5D game in Unreal Engine 4. And it’s definitely interesting to watch.

So we can all hear how the developers are working in the interview. While highlighting the positive aspects of both 2D and 3D games. Since they are careful to avoid creating a game that showcases the bad aspects of both. And as a bonus, we get glimpses on gameplay. Which looks really well done. Including another look at the 3D model of Zangetsu. Which revealed a few weeks ago at Bitsummit in Kyoto.

Also, since 505 Games have issued a new trailer. We are eager to share just how impressive the game really looks. Let alone just what we can expect in the games final release.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night E3 2017 Trailer:

So you can check both videos above. Hopefully you can get an idea how the game will play on Linux, Mac and Windows PC. Since there is a bit of a character reveal. Which looks quite epic, so the bigger boss-fights are looking far more challenging. And I had to watch the trailer again, since some enemies have special finishing attacks. Including plenty of dodging, manoeuvring and completely avoiding.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is scheduled to launch in the first half of 2018. Set to release on Linux, Mac, Windows, PS4, Xbox One, PS Vita and Switch.
