Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel preorder deals still available for Linux, Mac and Windows

Today, +2Kgames will unveil their latest creation Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. The game goes live on most major gaming #platforms for $59.99, but if you’re a PC gamer, there’s a chance to nab up to a 25% off in preorder #discount.

For starters, popular digital retailer #GMG has a #coupon code available that cuts $15 off the MSRP of the game! Considering Borderlands 2 kept its $59.99 value for several months after its release, that’s not a bad entry point if you’re looking to get into the action ASAP.

Beyond GMG, there are actually a few other authorized retailers selling the same Steam key at a discount, though their offers and expirations vary. Some of these retailers you know well, and some you probably haven’t heard of. The full breakdown is below.

Top Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel preorder deals

Greenman Gaming:

Get Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel for $45.00
Get Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Season Pass for $22.50
• Use code: P65PW6-F9B91D-TW2AG2

For those wondering about “MAC” in the title of the deal, Pre-Sequel is a Steam Play title, which means it’ll work on multiple platforms, including Linux, Mac and Windows PC.

DLGamer:

• Get Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel for $46.79
• Use code: DLG-LAVBKAJD

GameStop:

• Get Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel for $50.99
• Use code: PCD15PR

2game:

• Get Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel for $47.99
• Use code: BLPS-12USD

Note: As mentioned, expiration vary on all the deals listed above. While these deals are valid at time of writing, GMG’s deal will expire soon as its a limited time 24 hour only deal. For DLGamer and 2game, the expiration date is unknown, but you can safely assume these deals will expire when Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is no longer available for preorder.

Clicking through the first deal in the list above,  you’ll notice that GMG displays “MAC” in the title. Not a problem for Windows gamers, though, since Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is a Steamplay title. The “Mac” Steam key GMG emails out will work for Mac, PC, and Linux system interchangeably.

You may also notice Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel already has a Season Pass available for preorder. The same 25% off coupon listed above will take seven bucks (and chnage) off that $29.99 list price. The Season Pass will include 4 add-on packs which will cost $9.99 each at the time they release. Effectively the Pass gets you 4 for the price of 3, AND you can use the GMG coupon to discount that further.

We here at Linux Game News purchased our personal copies through Greenman Gaming  using the link above. It works for Linux, Mac and Windows, so there are no worries about cross-platform support, despite the GMG website hinting at (Mac).
