Broken Bots revealed from Bunnycopter with an open beta in August

Belgian independent game developer #Bunnycopter is pleased to announce  Broken Bots, a rambunctious online #multiplayer top-down shooter…with  ROBOTS! The studio is also pleased that registration to the game’s beta is open to the public starting today.

In  Broken Bots , players control malfunctioning robots and battle it out in three game modes: Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag and King of the Hill.  An added twist is that in all modes players will have to complete objectives in order to keep their bots’ systems running properly, adding a layer of complexity on how to best capitalize on advantageous malfunctions and avoid detrimental ones.

Registration for the  Broken Bots  open beta became available to the public today (sign up here:  Broken Bots Beta).  The weeklong beta program will begin in early August and Bunnycopter is partnering with four other indie studios to offer participants the ability to earn serious discounts on notable indie games.  The partnering indie games, beta milestones and other prizes will be announced within the next two weeks.

“We’ve been working on this game for the past year to make the experience as fun and engaging as possible,” said Bunnycopter’s Toon Van Wemmel. “We can’t wait for the beta to kick off and to announce the other indie studios we’re teaming up with as we think indie gaming fans will be stoked.”

Broken Bots will be available in Sept 2014 for PC, Linux and Mac and a Greenlight campaign will be announced soon.
