Build and Discover: America real time strategy simulation game to get support for Linux with Windows PC. Thanks to the publisher and producer, Angry Bulls Studio. Which now has a Steam page for the recently announced title.
Build and Discover: America is a newly announced game. It’s also comparable to Tropico in the wild west. Or maybe similar to something like Anno but with cowboys. You get the idea.
Build and Discover: America is a mixture of real time strategy game genres combined with a country building simulation. So there are strong economic elements, but all based on the history of the USA.
We’re using Unreal Engine 4. And yes we’ll make port to Linux very shortly after release (like 2-4 weeks after)
If all goes well, we plan to release the demo by the end of the year (also for Linux).
So we encourage anyone interested to add the title to Steam wishlist.
Since Build and Discover: America is going to make its way to Linux, as stated. This also means we’ll have a Demo to check out before the end of the year. Looking at the trailer, it seems like gameplay may be closer to Frostpunk. Minus the necessity for survival of course. The trailer only touches on the economic side of gameplay, which you can see at the top of the hud. But I’m looking forward to seeing what the Demo will bring.

As the game progresses and time passes. Players will have the chance to setup world famous structures. Such as the U.S. Congress or the Statue of Liberty. The developers also ensure that in the final version of the game will include more distinct buildings.
In addition to the player’s responsibility for the policies and economy of the country. You will have to face problems that are beyond your control. Such as battling the forces of nature. At an early stage, it will be only wild animals. But later in the game, expect things like earthquakes, tornadoes or floods.
Directing people to various jobs in Build and Discover: America. Such as hunting, construction, and discovering new areas. This also means acquiring resources as part of your daily responsibility. The player will have a choice of different development paths in the game. Will you focus mainly on building a strong army or diplomacy? (Hint: one does not exclude the other)
To sum up, Build and Discover: America is a strategic game. Although it is based on a true story and real events. Gameplay also leaves a lot of freedom and choice for the player to act on. So that many events start to look completely different than those in history books.
- economic and political development of the new territory
- building a strong state based on three pillars: transport, law and industry
- changing latitude dependent environment
storyline based on historical events
