Casebook 1899 – The Leipzig adventure to seek funding and Linux port with Mac and Windows PC. With further details from the creative work of developer Homo Narrans Studio. Working to make its way onto Kickstarter crowdfunding this month.

Solo game developer Homo Narrans Studio will be launching his Kickstarter Campaign. Due to fund the retro point and click game, Casebook 1899 – The Leipzig Murders for Steam on May 31st. But only for Mac and Windows PC. So naturally, I reached out to the developer via email and received an interesting reply.

So the plan is simple, “a Linux port is possible and might happen as a stretch goal.” While this method of inspiring the community is not the most favorable. The game is being built using Visionaire Studio. Which does include Linux, so a native build is still in the loop. But, “backing the Kickstarter will definitely make a Linux release more probable.” After that, the choice is yours.

UPDATE May 22: Linux will now be included in the base version of the game.
