Publisher Paradox Interactive will release the city building #simulation #game Cities: Skyline for #Linux, Mac and PC. Aspiring building magnates and town planners can get into their gameplay on March 10.
Pre-orders are now open, and getting in early will reward you with the following bonuses:
- Five additional in-game items (Basketball Court, Botanical Gardens, Merry-go-round, Bouncy Castle, Dog Park)
- Digital art book containing building blueprints and other original concept art
- Four digital postcards
“Colossal Order has done an amazing job in developing this game, and their talent and passion clearly shows in what they have created,” said Fredrik Wester, CEO of Paradox Interactive. “It is no exaggeration to say everyone internally at Paradox has been playing this game for months through every stage of development–it is quite addictive–and we are genuinely thrilled that Cities: Skylines will soon be in the hands of players everywhere.”
According to the press release, it features “massive maps” (take that, SimCity) and “expansive modding support”, allowing players to design all the little extra things you populate in your metropolis.
The trailers does not look like this is related to Cities Unlimited/XL/XXL, but then again different developer, different publisher. And players have total control in endless sandbox city-building, allowing you to design and manage the metropolis of your dreams.
