SAN MATEO, Calif. — Digital Chocolate Inc., a leader in cross-platform social games, announced today the release of two premium games into the Android Market that feature ad hoc, proximity-based multiplayer capability based on AllJoyn™ peer-to-peer technology. AllJoyn is an open-source, radio-agnostic application development framework, developed by Qualcomm Innovation Center, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated, which enables seamless, proximity-based peer-to-peer networking.

Digital Chocolate has combined its wide technological expertise and award-winning hit franchises, such as Tower Bloxx™ and Rollercoaster Rush™, to create new social gaming experiences that enable connecting with others nearby via WiFi or BlueTooth.

The games that Digital Chocolate released today with AllJoyn peer-to-peer technology are:

3D Rollercoaster Rush™: New York – based on the popular Rollercoaster Rush franchise, which has done over 19 million downloads on mobile platforms and generated over 200 million gameplays on the Web. AllJoyn will allow playing a real-time multiplayer race.

3D Tower Bloxx™: New York– a puzzle & strategy franchise that has won numerous mobile gaming awards and has been a smash hit on console platforms, the Web, and Facebook. With AllJoyn, players can start a head-to-head multiplayer competition over WiFi.

“Digital Chocolate is known for top-notch social games and some of the highest consumer review rankings, and we have been driving various word-of-mouth sharing features on a number of platforms for many years,” said Jason Loia, COO of Digital Chocolate. “That is why we are excited to use new technologies like AllJoyn to make it easier for players to connect with each other seamlessly and effortlessly.”
