Doodle Derby devilish physics racing and native port
Doodle Derby devilish physics racing and native port for Linux gaming alongside Windows PC. Thanks to both publisher Headup and developer Studio Erikson. The full release is certainly live on Humble Store, Steam and itch.
The full Steam release of Doodle Derby (FromTo) launched September 3th. Breaking the devilish physics racing platformer for 1-4 players of coure development mode. Where anything is possible in the least realistic car game ever. Since you must build the track before trying to reach the goal of the level. Complete your new cool track additions and push your luck. Can’t do it? Rebuild it. But after all thise time, where is Linux support?
I am looking into it at the moment.
So first off, it’s a pleasure to see Doodle Derby developer Studio Erikson committed to Linux. Since it’s been a while, actually over a year ago that we last posted news. Do keep in mind, there are no guarantees yet. The reply from Studio Erikson certainly shows a strong interest still. And since the developer is hoping to port to different platforms. Why not, the reviews on Steam are still 88% Positive. While Proton support looks to be at a Bronze level. Actually it’s more of a Gold performance, personally. Which is solid improvement for the full release and anyone looking to try it out.
Doodle Derby – Full Launch Trailer
Doodle Derby offers a single player campaign. While including a heap of ludicrous puzzle challenges. All next to some friendship testing multiplayer modes. Including the explosive tank mode. In multiplayer you must make a plan and wreck everyone else. Somewhat similar to Ultimate Chicken Horse. Mixing this in with elements of the Bridge Constructor series. Testing to see you can make it to the finish. The players are looping in a cycle of creation and destruction. Outsmart your opponents by building sneaky paths. Our while you out do the others in cruel fashion. The most devious mind wins.
Building tracks in Doodle Derby is easy and quick. You can choose from the craziest track elements ever seen. Such as Giant monkeys, UFOs, crushing sledgehammers, and much more. Because of the endless combinations and the (devilish) creativity of all players. No level is ever going to be the same.
