Door Kickers: Action Squad retro-inspired, high-octane, side-scrolling action game for Windows, but will get a Linux release. We reached out to KillHouse Games who are announcing that their game leaving Steam Early Access. Also launching commercially on the Steam.
Door Kickers: Action Squad is an over the top, old-school action side-scroller. Which also comes complete with co-op multiplayer. So as part of a SWAT team, players must infiltrate buildings, breach doors and eliminate the bad guys. Since this is part of their justice serving mission.
Gameplay also features retro graphics and design sensibilities. Takes the familiar side scrolling-action genre and infuses it with a layer of tactical puzzlery. One that has no set solution and allows players to fly by the seat of the pants. So with that sort of improvisation and out of the box thinking. This going to make for a solid Linux release.
Linux release:
“Hi Todd,
We are planning a port for linux but I can’t give you a timeline. As we didn’t actually finish working on the current version.”
So this is definitely come good news. Even though the games already playable via Proton using Steam Play. And since the Early Access srelease, Door Kickers: Action Squad holds a 92% positive Steam rating. Gameplay also features a single-player mode, couch and online co-op multiplayer mode. As well as 4 different player classes with 3 unique weapons per class. Including 3 gear items, 8 enemy types, 2 mission types and 24 levels. And developer KillHouse Games are not stopping there.
