Doorways: Holy Mountains of Flesh – El Chacal Part 1 will see a Linux release soon

Developer #SaibotStudios #announced in their previous #developer diary, the last episode of Doorways will be divided into three acts: The School, The Mansion and The Temple – the first of them came to Steam Early Access on August 20, the other two as free updates in the following months.

Doorways: Holy Mountains of Flesh is being developed in Unity 5 and uses PBR technology which implies an important improvement in visuals, but also, this final chapter is aimed to be the most terrifying in the Doorways series.

Doorways: Holy Mountains of Flesh will follow Thomas Foster, main character of the series, who will visit El Chacal, a small and remote village in the mountainous region of Salta, Argentina to go after an entire family of lunatics led by Juan Torres, better-known as ‘The Roaster’. Juan and his family are the focus of numerous rumours involving cannibalism, black magic, sects and all kinds of superstitions. Be ready to enter the most twisted of criminal minds! This new episode features gameplay mechanics in the vein of the first three episodes – first-person horror exploration and puzzles.

For those interested in playing the game but unsure due to platform support, do note that a Linux build is coming. According to the Saibot Studios PR staff, “we want to have a Linux version in a future update. Not sure exactly when yet.”

Doorways: Holy Mountains of Flesh is currently available on Steam Early Access.
