Dropsy makes Kickstarter goal and will be coming to Linux, Mac, and PC in October 2014

Independent developer  +Jay Tholen ‘s point-and-click clown #adventure Dropsy has nearly concluded its successful #Kickstarter campaign, and will be hitting PC, Mac, and Linux in October 2014.  Completely #non-linear , allowing players to choose what parts of the adventure to resolve in any order they like.

As some of you may have heard, Devolver Digital is now publishing Dropsy. While they’ll be topping off development funds to help us reach our goals, they’ll primarily be providing support in the Marketing, QA, and (incredibly easy) localization of the game.

Here’s what they had to say:

“We’re going to provide additional funds beyond Kickstarter to make sure that all stretch goals are met and that any additional features or content the team envisions for the game are possible because we love Dropsy and want it made without compromise. Oh, and marketing, QA, localization, etc. The boring stuff.”

That said, because of the way our arrangement works, it is still important that we try to reach the stretch goals! You can read the official press release on their website HERE

The game was originally a “Choose Your Adventure Game” back in 2008, but evolved into a full-sized adventure game. The game has raised $20K; the original Kickstarter goal was $14K. There are still three days left as of the writing of this article.
