Effie action adventure seeks community demand

effie action adventure seeks community demand for linux windows pc

Effie is a 3D action adventure that is looking for Linux community demand beside the Windows PC release. Thanks to developer Inverge Studios. The games also due to release tomorrow on Humble Store and Steam.

Effie is a 3D action adventure game. One that also combines classic elements from the genre. Such as combat, platforming, and puzzles. Along with a heap of exploration of the expanded world. Here you will certainly live a unique fantasy adventure. While you free the cities from a powerful and dark evil. And relive the look and feel of old school video games.

Inverge Studios, developers of Effie, will release the game on January 28th. Making it’s debut on Windows PC. Having been in contact with the studio since September 2019. Here is what they now have to say about Linux support.

Effie is developed in Unreal Engine 4. A Linux release is not guaranteed yet. But community demand would certainly help make it happen.

This is one of the most inspiring replies from a developer. Since Unreal Engine 4 is being used. Once again, “community demand” plays a strong role in the release. I’ve also tested Effie using Proton 4.11-12 and it works well. Which means a Linux port would likely be far less effort. With enough Tux Love and Wishlist support on Steam.

Effie is also a flashback to other classic PlayStation games. SUch as Jak & Daxter, Maximo or Ratchet and Clank. Since these are the inspirations for development.

  • It will be launching with English and Spanish voicing. And subtitles in English, Spanish, French and German

Effie 3D action adventure is due to release on Humble Store and Steam. Launching for $16.99 USD for the first week. Then returning to the full retail price of $19.99 USD.
