EMMA: Lost in Memories platformer support

emma lost in memories platformer game support for linux windows pc

EMMA: Lost in Memories new 2D platformer game for Windows PC, but Linux support is planned. Thanks to indie gams developer SandBloom Studio. Available on Steam with a discount.

EMMA: Lost in Memories just released on Steam. This is also an action running platformer. So you will have to double jump, duck, dash and climb. Reaching the exit in every stage. Be fast enough to avoid falling out of the screen. Since the platforms and the walls disappear as you touch them.

SandBloom Studio is also using “Unity to develop the game.” Similarly, the Linux support is coming. But, “the port to Linux isn’t our priority.” However, the studio replied saying, “they aren’t ruling it out.”
With Unity 3D being part of EMMA: Lost in Memories development. The port should be fairly straight forward. Given the majority of Steam for Linux games use Unity. But this also means good news for Proton. Since I can confirm the game runs perfectly via Steam Play.

On another note, we have some feedback regarding incentive. Since there are some elements of the game that are rather familiar. Similarly, the studio acknowledges these as well.

EMMA: Lost in Memories gets inspiration from games like Super Meat Boy. For its quickness and puzzle style levels. And Celeste for its simple reusable mechanics”, says Julien Gatumel, PR Director at Sandbloom Studio. “It is also inspired by Alto’s Adventure for its mood and minimalistic art.”

EMMA: Lost in Memories – Official Trailer

EMMA: Lost in Memories features over 140 single screen levels. Also two game modes, both a Main Story and Memory Chest. And above all, a curious, minimal 2D setting. Which is also completely drawn by hand.
The game is actually a poetic and gloomy story about memory loss. But certainly looks challenging, even from the trailer.

  • Simple fade-away mechanics.
  • Minimalistic 2D artistic style completely drawn by hand.
  • Dynamic gameplay in a poetic eccentric world.
  • One-screen levels.
  • Two game modes: Main Story and Memory Chest.
  • Delicate story about adventure and memory loss.

EMMA: Lost in Memories is available now on Steam. Priced at only $3.59 USD. Including the 40% launch week discount.
