VestGames, an indie game development company is eager to announce further details. Since their multiplayer social deduction game Eville will be launching on October 11th. Due to making its way onto Windows PC, we have hope for Linux too.
The game will be launching on Windows PC, but our tests with Proton so far have been flawless.
The VestGames email points out they are working on Steam Deck Support. So they are hoping to offer full support for Eville by launch. Which means being officially Verified. While not a native release, this is an Unreal Engine 4 game. Which typically does run well on Linux via Proton.
There’s murder afoot in the once peaceful village of Eville. Players itching to try their hand in a world of deceit and manipulation can join in. Due to take part in the shenanigans to find out just who’s up to no good. This is a multiplayer game full of both intrigue and having to work together.
Eville casts players into randomly assigned roles. While giving you unique abilities, skills, and advantages. So you can look to either commit their dastardly deed or avoid becoming the next victim. Players can complete quests during the day and set devious traps to defend themselves during the night. Since this is when they are most vulnerable. Within the quaint village map of Eville, players can also find forlorn citizens. They will also need help as you encounter the ghosts of the dead. Eville may be a place of mystery and intrigue, but it’s not a place where dead men tell no tales either.
