First Class Trouble third person survival multiplayer game needs support for Linux beside Windows PC. Which is the creation of developer Invisible Walls. Coming to Steam Early Acces but release date is still TBD. Which is also good news.
First Class Trouble is an asymmetrical cooperative third person survival multiplayer game. One that also takes place in a luxury space cruise liner. The games due to release on Steam Early Access on Windows PC in Q4 2020. As well as Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2020. So naturally, I reached out regarding native support.
The process behind a Linux build:
We are working in Unreal Engine 4. So a Linux port shouldn’t be impossible. It will depend on how big the interest is over the next couple of months in the alpha stage. We have investors, but would need more, if we were to port to linux as well. If we start seeing that there is a good interest and can convince investors that its worth it, we will push for it.
Since First Class Trouble development is using Unreal Engine 4. This certainly leaves some solid hope for Linux. But again, since our beloved OS has such a small market share. Once again we have to vote for support. And hopefully, help the developers get the okay for a native port.
And I have to admit, I admire their candid approach. Not to mention the crazy gameplay. Which of course would be much more stable on Linux.
Also, two things are required for First Class Trouble support. First, make sure to show your Tux Love or +1 on Steam. And second, be sure to Wishlist the game on Steam as well.
Now let’s talk First Class Trouble. Gameplay will have you take on the role of one of the last remaining survivors. While on a luxury spaceship that has experienced some severe technical difficulties. Chief of these problems is that the AI and also the on-board robotic servants. They are rebelling and eager to kill every human onboard. And since they wiped out most of the passengers by simply turning the air off. Lucky few with Oxygen Rebreathers survive.
First Class Trouble – closed alpha Trailer
The First Class Trouble group of surviving players must now work together. Try and reset the AI to revert it to a non-homicidal state. But this is not an easy task. The ship is full of robot servants that are more focused on serving pain than beverages. Some of the survivors are also robots in disguise. Cooperation is key to success, but trust will be in short supply. While players attempt to figure out who the robots in their ranks are.
The First Class Trouble game is coming to Windows PC. With enough support from the community, Linux as well. Available in Early Access sometime in Q4 2020.
