You had a life once, a family, a home to go back to. This all changed when the cartel raided your house. Now you’re on the run. No, you’re on the hunt. Your sister Adelita has been taken, your life ruined. And also your solitaire game is interrupted. Some things cannot be forgiven. The Flippin Kaktus release indeed coming to Linux, but due to release on Mac and Windows PC first.
Originally I planned to have a Linux version, however, there are some engine issues, that’s why we won’t be able to have it by release date.
The consolation of course is that we’ve tested Flippin Kaktus via Proton and it’s working fine.
While this is still not a “no” to Linux support. It’s more of a ‘hold on while we find a fix’. In the mean time, due note that the games id developed via GameMaker Studio 2. This is why Proton support works so well on Linux. And judging by the email reply from rage++, the native build delay is more of an annoyance. But at least with confirmed Proton support for Linux and Steam Deck, this is still a plus. Plus I’m just looking forward to blowing things up.
