forager exploration could see linux support in steam windows games

Forager is an exploration and crafting simulation game that could see Linux support. Currently the games release is coming sometime in 2018 on Steam. There is also a rather popular Alpha demo available via Itch. The link below, and definitely worth checking out. Hands down.

Originally made in 2 weeks for the GMS2Jam hosted by YoYoGames. Which HopFrog won second place. This is the revised and reworded version of Forager for everyone to play!

The Legend of Zelda meets Stardew Valley and Terraria in this gorgeous and compelling singleplayer experience.

Linux support:

“I can’t quite officially confirm a Linux release. But I am definitely working on it. It’s not a priority at the moment (gotta finish the damn game this year..). I would LOVE to do it once everything else is done.”

Players will be able to buy lands to expand and explore a vast world filled with secrets, puzzles, friendly characters and foes. Craft interesting items, build (and defend!) their bases and learn powerful skills and abilities.

The gameplay is filled with interesting progression systems and a really compelling core loop. This is game is hard to put down once you start playing it.

While exploring a vast a mysterious world in little chunks. Players will also gather resources to build a base and expand. Since you never know what the next purchase of land will contain.

Over 70,000 people tried and loved the exploration in the demo (Windows only). So this is not an issue for Linux. Since the game works well using Wine. Just right-click and open the exe with Wine, voila.

Also, if you become attached to Forager. Be careful, since gameplay can go on for some time.

Steam release:

So the Forager final release is set to come out during Fall of 2018 on Steam. Which is also coming to Windows, and hopefully Linux later. Therefore it’s no surprise to see Humble Bundle publishing the games release. Yes, it’s that good.
