Guntech 2 cave flyer game officially launches today on Linux, Mac, and Windows PC. All due to the ongoing efforts of developer Jani Penttinen. Which is now available, finally, on Steam.
Guntech 2 launched on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One in January 2022. Which has also been called “The best new arcade space shooter”, and “definitely one of the best” in reviews. While winning the Retro-Inspired Game of the Month award by Video Chums.
Due note, Guntech 2 features couch co-op mode where up to four players can play together. Since you can all save the galaxy with friends is always more fun than saving it alone. The co-op mode has a design so that better gamers can enjoy it together with newer players. Difficulty mode can be adjusted per player. This also means, if one half of a couple is a champion player, their partner can join in using the easy mode. While enjoying the game with unlimited lives and stronger shields.
Guntech 2 has an E rating for everyone and the Valentine’s Day mission is fun for all ages. Here’s a clip of the game’s creator Jani playing Valentine’s mission with his daughter Mei, 6 years old.

“Guntech 2 has a set of seasonal levels that offer different types of challenges and variety to the gameplay. Valentine’s Day is all about spending special time with loved ones. So we had this idea of creating a special over the board seasonal level. With pink hearts and roses and teddy bears, and it turned out great!”, says Jani Penttinen, lead developer.
The Valentine’s Day mission is a free new level available in Guntech 2 right now. Launching on Steam on today (the Steam launch date was Feb 9, but things happened and it’s now happening on Tuesday!) As a result, all seasonal levels are playable throughout the year. So even though the Steam version will miss Valentine’s by one day. But the new level is here to stay.
