Headspun is a story adventure coming to both Mac and Windows PC, but what about Linux support? Thanks to developer Wales Interactive we have some detail. Since the game is due to release on Steam and Itch.io, August 28th, 2019.
Since following the development progress of Headspun. There has been hope from the beginning for Linux. Seeing both Mac and Windows are listed as the supported platforms.
Linux Support:
Linux won’t be supported at launch. We’re a small team and it’s not within scope sadly. It something I’d love to push, however. And hopefully we’ll get round to supporting this platform at a later date.
So this is both good news and meh news. Since this will not be a day one release. But the developers are encouraging support “at a later date.” So this is not a “no”. But there is a native Linux test build on Itch.

What is the game about?
Headspun is a 2D narrative adventure story set in Cortex. The world of Theo Kavinsky’s broken brain. Using live action FMV sequences. The staff of Cortex watch Theo’s life unfold. Doing so from the eyeScreen behind his eyes. Since they can make decisions on his behalf. Such as running the day-to-day mental actions which define Theo as a person.
Playing as Ted, the rational, human personification of Theo’s character. Headspun players will begin a journey to rebuild Cortex. So they can put Theo’s life back together. What Ted thinks is best for Theo, however. May not be a view common idea for Teddy. The primal, emotional representation of Theo’s psyche.
Headspun really is a game that follows the relationship between Ted and Teddy. Focusing on the ongoing war between logic and emotion.
Since this is a game about recovery and discovery.
