Helheim Hassle hilarious story puzzle game is due to release on Windows PC, with a Linux port on the side. According to Norway based developer Perfectly Paranormal. Due to arrive via Humble Store and Steam soon.
There is also a new developer commentary video out. This features some whimsical advice on how to handle some of the dilemas. Since these are things players face in Helheim Hassle. Going to the gym is hard, especially if no one is pulling their weight. So there are times where all you need is a nudge from a dead viking. But checking the Steam page, it appears that Mac has support is coming. So naturally, with all of the details coming into my email recently. I reached out to the developer for an update.
Helheim Hassle is the biggest game we’ve ever made. And we are porting it to all promised platforms ourselves (also for the first time). We just have to see how the reception is before deciding to make additional ports like on Linux.
Therefore as expected, once again, we have to wait. Where the port depends on the success of the game. Which is something more on the development side. While keeping costs within perspective. But the good news, this is a Unity based puzzle story game. Which should spell good news for Proton until we see a native port.
Helheim Hassle – The Gamiest of Plays
Helheim Hassle is a grim story adventure game. From the same universe as previous hit Manual Samuel, which is as much about friendship as it is about body parts. You play as Bjørn, a pacifist viking who hates the idea of dying. Since going to Valhalla (who then ends up dying and getting taken to Valhalla) as he seeks to negotiate his way out. While helping the mysterious Pesto on a quest to retrieve a certain magical item. In return, Pesto will try to grant Bjørn a permanent residence in Helheim – what a hassle!
Players will be tasked with completing up to 70 quests over 14 levels. Each requires the use of all manner of different body part combos. While you work to complete the game’s unique puzzle platforming challenges. On this adventure, players will come into contact with 80 different characters from all walks of life (and death). These range from frustrated god souls, bear ghosts, dragons, elves, dwarves and blue-collar goblins. All voiced by 24 professional voice actors delivering 3,700 lines of spoken dialogue!
Helheim Hassle does have have release date or price. But the hilarious story puzzle game is due to release this year. Coming to Windows PC, and hopefully Linux there after. With all the hype floating around for the game. I’m hoping for positive recourse.
