Helium Rain is a single-player space simulation for Linux and Windows that debuted on Steam August 2017. Since the games still in Early Access on Steam. We just received some positive details for the upcoming release date.
“We don’t have a release date yet, but the goal right now is Q2 2018, after three more major updates.”
Since this is NOT an official release date. This does outline what the studio’s goal. Also what we should expect in the coming months ahead. And the studio is holding to the six month time period outlined on Steam.
Also the December update already brings significant improvements for Linux.
“The new version brings a new Unreal Engine version. Primarily meant for better Linux support. With a new audio pipeline and better support for older distributions.”
Needless to say, we are eager to see what Deimos Games has in store. So keep an eye out for the three updates up to release. Since we can support development and into Linux gaming now.
