Heroes of Delum real-time strategy on Steam Greenlight

heroes of delum real-time strategy in greenlight for linux

Heroes of Delum  real-time strategy, #singleplayer and #multiplayer co-op game for Linux, Mac and Windows PC. All while players take on the #adventure with one of 5 friends and try to survive together. What could go wrong?
Hence the games development is inspired by the Kodo Tag custom map/scenario from Warcraft 3. While one of the more popular “mods”. So Delum Studios decided to work on releasing a dedicated game around the concept. Hence including lots of changes and variations, both in theme and gameplay.

So you play as a nameless hero who fights against near endless hordes of monsters. All of whom spawn from a magic portal created by the dark forces of Delum.
The only goal is to survive: collect resources, build defenses, upgrade your character. Win, using your brawn and brains, and the help of friends!

  • 1 to 5 players online co-op
  • Requires skill and thinking
  • Randomly occurring events for a dynamic gameplay
  • Difficulty levels from cake to hellish nightmare!
  • More game modes to come
  • A variety of enemies with different strengths to overcome
  • Different world environments
  • …and ninja cats!

So Heroes of Delum is being developed in Unity 3D, hence the Linux support. A Free playable demo is available on Itch gaming, but only for Windows PC. Although the game does run easily in Wine. Also, a pro tip, if the Alpha launches in the wrong monitor, take it out of fullscreen. For some reason the game stays fullscreen but switches monitors.
Otherwise, game play is a great adventure. Which might help inspire a vote on Greenlight. Personally I like the art style

Delum Studios are a very small independant team of 2 dedicated game developers. Both of whom want to share our gaming passion around the world. Apparently having already have developed several games, this one being the latest and most complete.

So the work continues on real-time strategy Heroes of Delum. The Alpha version is more than playable and contains most of the game’s features intended. And the developers, “we will indeed support Linux.”
