otline Miami 2 level editor launches for Linux, Mac and Windows PC in gaming news

The Hotline Miami 2 level editor has #launched for Linux, Mac and Windows PC. This lets players #create their own #levels and campaigns for Dennaton’s gore-heavy top-down shooter. Either make your own levels or play someone else’s creation, after six months in public beta, it is a pleasure to see the editor is live, and Hotline Miami 2 is on sale too. Currently on Steam with a 75% discount.

The level editor is built into the current Linux build, we checked. So players can design levels piece-by-piece, set them up the way they want, place and customise enemies, create cut-scenes or string levels into campaigns.

Hotline Miami 2 Level Editor is now Live:

Today’s update includes the Hotline Miami 2 level editor as well as a number of other minor fixes and changes. Please see the Patch Notes in the Level Editor forum for the full changelist.

Thank you so much for your patience and help over the extended development of the level editor. Without your passion, help, and feedback this would not have been possible. Now please go make Hotline Miami 3!

Steam Workshop support is also available to upload custom creations or download others. The GOG version is likely still getting the editor, but downloading levels is going to be all manual without the aid of Workshop.

To celebrate the launch, Hotline Miami 2 has a 75% discount on Steam. It’s dirt cheap now, the same with the pack including the first game too. This particular discount only run for 24 hours, but the Steam summer sale starts tomorrow.
