Humble Frozen Synapse Bundle Gives You Five Free Games

Humble Bundle, Inc. is now offering a new “pay as much as you want” game bundle. This one’s got a twist, though: if you pay enough money, you’ll unlock a group of bonus games.

The Humble Frozen Synapse Bundle includes the turn-based strategy Frozen Synapse along with its soundtrack. If you pay more than the average Humble Bundle shopper, you’ll also get the Humble Frozenbyte Bundle, which contains with five games: Trine, Shadowgrounds, Shadowgrounds: Survivor, Splot and Jack Claw. All games are compatible with PC, Mac, and Linux systems.

“Please note, while Frozen Synapse, Trine, Shadowgrounds, and Shadowgrounds: Survivor are very polished games and ready to play on all platforms, the Splot and Jack Claw bonuses are different,” says the Humble Bundle website. “Splot is still under development and will be added to your bundle once it is completed. Jack Claw is a prototype of a game Frozenbyte was developing, but canceled before completion.”

A few numbers might put things in perspective. Frozen Synapse normally costs $25, and its soundtrack is $6. The contents of the Frozenbyte Bundle are valued at $45. In order to get all $86 worth of stuff, all you need to pay is more than the current average of $4.37.

You can buy the Synapse Bundle with PayPal, Amazon Payments, or Google Checkout. The Humble Bundle website lets you not only choose how much to pay, but also lets you determine where your money goes. By default, the proceeds are split between Mode 7 Games (the developer of Synapse), Frozenbyte, digital rights advocacy group Electronic Frontier Foundation, charity Child’s Play, and Humble Bundle, Inc. Using a series of slidebars on Humble Bundle’s website, you can specify exactly how much money goes to which outfit.

The Humble Frozen Synapse Bundle will be available for the next two weeks.
