Immortal Darkness: Curse of the Pale King is a dark fantasy dungeon crawler for Windows, but Linux could be next. Since Giant Space Monster has officially released their RPG through Steam on October 17th, 2018. We reached out to learn about Linux support.

Immortal Darkness: Curse of the Pale King is a dark fantasy dungeon crawler. This also features real-time tactical combat, twisted traps, stimulating puzzles, and a wide array of spells. It expertly blends old school dungeon crawler fun with a gripping storyline. More modern visuals, smooth mechanics and captivating atmospheric audio.

Linux Support:

“To answer your questions, our game is built on Unity. And right now, I have not given other versions much thought. I know that Unity has a Linux build target, but I’ve not played with it. I’ve not been a serious Linux user for quite a few years now. So no real knowledge of current driver/hardware support. And how much of a game scene there is on the platform.
If I get some time, I may put a Linux build together and have a play with it.”

Since the gameplay is more than just a dungeon crawler. The puzzle aspects also have my attention. While the dungeons themselves do not seem to overly populated by enemies. I’m actually eager to take on the adventure.
And although developer Giant Space Monster have a very straight forward reply. I expect we will see a native release if all goes well with the test build.
