Java Developer Hadoop/MapReduce/Linux Cambridgeshire Gaming – 45k A passionate and experienced Java Developer preferably based within a data warehousing environment with a familiarity with Hadoop, MapReduce or Linux technologies is required by a Online entertainment Organisation based in Cambridgeshire. You will be responsible for developing high-performance data manipulation solutions within the data warehousing environment, some of you duties will include coding data transformation tools to support the ingestion and transfer of information around their data warehouse, liaising with Business Intelligence analysts on desired data sets. You will also be required to develop high-performance solutions to mine very large data sets. To be considered for this opportunity you must have demonstrable experience of the above with practical experience of producing high performance code along with a good understanding of functional programming paradigms, the ideal candidate will have a familiarity with Hadoop or MapReduce and have a good exposure to Linux technologies within a warehouse environment.
