In Jessika, you’ll have the intensely emotional job of a lifetime. Seeing you have to investigate the suicide of the titular character. As a result, you are under the employment of her father after her untimely demise. You’ll also need to use your detective know how and intuition. Then uncover clues about what happened. And ultimately, the details of her last gripping moments.
In the new behind-the-scenes trailer, the developers reveal the inspiration behind Jessika and why they sought out an FMV format to tell the story of her tragic end. Additionally, TriTrie Games expands upon the underlying message in the game, explaining how their personal views on the subversive topic evolved while in the development process.

“We are used to serious topics being discussed in movies. However, it’s rather rarely seen in games,” said Jessika Game Designer, Pierre Schlömp. “That was one of the main motivations for me to participate in this project.”
A demo for Jessika is now available on Steam. With support for Mac and Windows PC. Which you can get an early look using Proton 5.0-9. Plus there is a nice Linux reference right at the begining. It’s obvious when creating your username and password.
