Kerfuffight is a new 3D brawler for Windows PC, but also due to get a Linux build. Thanks to developer Felix Laplante. The independent developer from Montreal, Canada. The games now live on Steam. So, if you like pushing people off cliffs….
Last Friday, Kerfuffight launched on Steam. Also the first game release for Felix Laplante. In the game, up to 4 players get to fight each other across different biomes. Likewise, each has a unique map and weapons.
Linux Support:
The game was made using Unreal Engine 4.
You might be interested in learning that Kerfuffight was created entirely by using Unreal’s visual scripting tool “Blueprint” without the need for additional coding.Regarding a Linux port, it is not currently in the works, but it is planned.
As I continue supporting the game past its launch. I plan to release it to other platforms.
So a Linux build is coming for Kerfuffight. But there is no release date. And the Steam reviews are limited but positive.
Here’s hoping for an easy port when the time comes (I have not tested the game with Proton). But a Linux support is coming.
Have you ever had the urge to fight a friend? In Kerfuffight, you and your friends can battle each other. Doing so in local multiplayer, each with their unique stages and distinct weapons. Don’t be fooled, biomes are more than just visually different. They also have a special mechanical identity.
From long-range battles to close-range encounters. Each one brings its own niche to the table in their own way. So no matter the playing field, competitors need to stay vigilant. Weapons drop from the sky for pick up and use. But ignore one for too long and it’ll become a trap.
With various multiplayer modes playable against friends or AI. Likewise, there are even singleplayer challenges. Kerfuffight remains an engaging brawler experience no matter the situation. Somewhat similar to Gang Beasts, but it’s not.
Kerfuffight Gameplay Trailer
“I’m proud to finally share Kerfuffight with the world. Making a game on your own is not an easy task. But I think the end result is worth the effort,” said Felix Laplante. “I have been working endlessly on this project for the past year. I hope everyone enjoys it has much has I enjoyed making it.”
What would be a multiplayer game without customization? Kerfuffight has a ton of customization options. So players can choose from to personalize their characters. Either in multiplayer and singleplayer. You can also unlock more customization options by simply playing the game. There are no micro-transactions in Kerfuffight.
Kerfuffight 3D brawler is available now on Steam for Windows PC. Priced at $9.99 USD. The Linux build is planned, but there is no release date, yet.
