Polish developer Jujubee S.A. has just updated their documentary-adventure game Kursk to version 2.0. Which greatly enhances the player’s overall gaming experience. The studio also listens to the community’s requests. As well as to each and every review on Steam.

Now it seems we have Linux support incoming. According to the full press post, this is “coming first quarter of 2019.” So not too far off, and with all of these improvements. We will have a much more polished game.

So in this Kursk update we now have enhanced and new animations. Also a more user-friendly UI, new and improved visual effects. Plus more ambient sounds to boost the game’s atmosphere. The players reports about the loading times being too long. So they have been taken care of, as the team has drastically decreased their duration.

Also worth mentioning, the digital artbook has an update as well. This contains 117 pages of concept art with the submarine’s design. Including sections, environments, dedicated assets, equipment, characters, and a whole lot more.

Jujubee is taking part in the upcoming Steam Winter Sale. Offering a reasonable discount for Kursk and its board game DLC. The developers are also working on bringing Kursk to both Linux and Mac. With a release date in the first quarter of 2019.

Kursk is available on both Steam and Humble Store, priced at $29.99 USD. With a release for Windows, and as mentioned, Linux is coming as well in the new year. My advice, wait for the Steam Winter Sale and then grab a copy. Until that time, Wishlist on Steam.
