Therefore, they just announced LIFE IS STRANGE™: BEFORE THE STORM, the next game in the award-winning, multi-million copy selling, episodic franchise. Since the first #games already on Linux, we are keen to even see the #Windows PC release. And SQUARE ENIX are unveiling the games new cinematic trailer. Hence the first of three episodes will be released on Windows PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on August 31, 2017.
Life is Strange: Before the Storm Announce Trailer
LIFE IS STRANGE: BEFORE THE STORM is set in Arcadia Bay. Three years before the events of the first game in the series. So players will take on the role of a rebellious 16 year-old Chloe Price. Who forms an unlikely friendship with Rachel Amber. Who is the beautiful and popular girl set for success. While Rachel’s world is now upside down thanks to a family secret. Where a new-found alliance gives each one the strength to overcome their demons.
“LIFE IS STRANGE: BEFORE THE STORMis a key release for Square Enix this year. And it’s creation as a direct response to fans asking to return to Arcadia Bay. So they can revisit the characters they fell in love with,” said Lee Singleton, Head of Studio at Square Enix London Studios. “Many people can identify a particular person who significantly influenced their life. The person that ultimately shaped who they became. LIFE IS STRANGE: BEFORE THE STORM is about this exact moment.”
Return to Arcadia Bay
So while the first games in the series are the creation of DONTNOD Entertainment in Paris. LIFE IS STRANGE: BEFORE THE STORM is being done by Denver based studio, Deck Nine Games. Which seems to present a deep emotional connection to the first story. Since people know the first games, and Deck Nine seem to want to take it further. So the fan-based creation is what has our attention. Hence we could have another Batman issue or even Call of Duty®: Infinite Warfare.
Yet we’re optimistic, hoping to see not only a native Linux release. While also seeing a unique and heartfelt new experience to continue the francise.
