Black Geyser RPG funded on Kickstarter

black geyser party based isometric rpg kickstarter funded for linux mac windows

Black Geyser: Couriers of Darkness is an isometric, party-based, real-time with pause RPG for Linux, Mac and Windows. The Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign hit it’s funding goal of $59,802 USD. While now sitting at $64,143 USD in pledges. And 15 days to go on the campaign. So that’s 107% funded, no too bad.

Black Geyser: Couriers of Darkness is working up to the first Stretch Goal. Since the games investors agreed to help fund advanced modding support and localization. Which means support for French, German, Italian, Polish, Russian and Spanish if we raise at least €60k. So that’s roughly $71,667 USD.

“We have reached our base goal quicker than anyone expected. Black Geyser: Couriers of Darkness is going to be a reality because of you! Thank you so much!! Stretch goals are now active—the next goal is the Language Pack and Advanced Moddability support at 60k! After one or two strech goals are reached. We will add a new stretch goal to the end of the list.

We received several questions whether we support Add-Ons. An Add-Ons section before the Rewards section on the bottom of the Kickstarter page, make sure to check it out! You can use add-ons to extend your existing reward tier with additional elements. For example, if you pledged €16 for the Early bird version and want to get all future DLCs and expansion packs of the game. Add €15 to your existing pledge (making your pledge €31, without changing your current reward tier).”

Following this tier is a new player race. And with the limited time frame left on the campaign, it’s anyone’s guess. But I’m a bit surprised how long the funding took. Since the gameplay style has some similarities to that of Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire. Either way, we another isometric RPG coming to Linux.

Black Geyser: Couriers of Darkness RPG on Kickstarter (Linux, Mac, Windows)

Black Geyser: Couriers of Darkness is an isometric singleplayer RPG set in the new fantasy world of Yerengal. While the story itself focuses on Isilmerald. Which is also the largest, most racially diverse kingdom in Yerengal ruled by a human lineage.

But the real magic happens in the games potion crafting. So if healing potions are to expensive due to greedy merchants. You can brew your own.
Or maybe you can’t enter a building because the guards are too powerful. Players can use the Plant Item skill and surprise them with something poisonous. Sort of like Minecraft crafting for RPG’s.

Funded on Kickstarter:

Black Geyser: Couriers of Darkness is funded and still going strong on Kickstarter. While there are now 15 days left to the crowdfunding campaign. We will have to see where the funding ends on May 30 2018 5:59 PM EDT.
