Fictorum RPG native release incoming

fictorum RPG linux release incoming

Fictorum is an action RPG featuring destructible environments on Windows, which is finally coming to Linux. Since the recent update details show native support.

So recently, the SteamDB update now outlines Linux support. Not only do we have native files, but there is an OS change as well. Which is a good sign.

Linux release:

“I have no idea, just working on getting a steam build up and running.

We’re also working on other content for the game for it next major patch (v1.3). But I’m trying my best to get Linux support in.”

Since this is a work in progress. There is hope that Fictorum will have a release soon. But there is no official release date yet.
Scraping Bottom Games are working on an OpenGL issue to ensure the game is playable. Considering this is an Unreal Engine 4 game, I can suggest being patient.

If you are interested in testing the Linux build, the dev’s will be looking for people on their Reddit.

Fictorum RPG Release Trailer (Windows, soon Linux)

Sadly this release is not happen right away. But it is in the works now. So community members will be able to experience a procedural node-based world map. Including dynamic magic shaping. Something well worth the experience.

Since the initial launch for Fictorum was just over a year ago, following further confirmation. We finally have some stable progress for Linux support. But again, Unreal Engine 4 native builds are not as easy to port.

Fictorum is an action RPG game that features fully-destructible structures, a randomised node-based world map, and a satisfying magic system with on-the-fly spell shaping and customisation.

In Fictorum, your mage wields real, legendary power right from the start—unlike those found in most magic-centric games. Our spellcasting and shaping system grants the player an unrivaled level of customization and reconfiguration. Up to three runes can be applied to a spell, each affecting a different spell characteristic, and can be changed to suit the player’s current need, interest, or whim. You might amplify ice blasts to freeze enemies in place, expand the radius of a fireball explosion to crumble a bridge and hinder pursuers, or chain a lightning attack together to strike several clustered targets. Shaping makes spellcasting tactical and satisfying; an experience more about tailoring your magical arsenal to effectively, efficiently, and enthusiastically destroy every obstacle.

Where to buy the RPG?

Fictorum is currently available on Steam, GOG and Humble Store for $19.99 USD on Windows only. Stay tuned for further details.
