Currently in gaming news, Forsaken Castle is a 16-bit action platformer on #Kickstarter. A game about a paladin, her fight against evil and exploration. Due to release on Linux, Mac and Windows PC in October 2017. Having just hit the first #StetchGoal of $12,000 USD, bringing in a New Game.

While gameplay is inspired by classic metroidvania games. Players will discover new abilities, fight deadly creatures, and explore a handcrafted world. All created in a retro pixel art style.

What’s the story?

The story has players taking the roll of Lily. This newly appointed paladin sent to investigate undead near the little village of Atoh. Since her search leads up to an old castle, well known to be vacant. Yet somehow the castle has come back to life. Hence the faint lights visible and the drawbridge closed in the distance.

So being new to her order and armed with a desire to prove herself. The capable paladin, decides to find a way into the castle. Therefore she is set to destroy the source of the undead. But does not realize the evil she is about to face.

Should players be eager to support the project. Forsaken Castle is looking for support on Greenlight. With a Free Demo available for Mac and Windows PC (we’re waiting on a Linux build).

Forsaken Castle funding continues to climb on Kickstarter. While currently $13,530 at the time of writing. The next Stretch Goals is the Boss Rush Mode at $14,000.

The final release coming to Steam gaming in October 2017 for Linux, Mac and Windows PC. We will have more news up to the release, so stay tuned.
