Indivisible action-RPG platformer on Indiegogo with demo for Linux, Mac and Windows PC

Indivisible an action  RPG 2D platformer where players fight in a 3D world on Linux, Mac and Windows PC. A game inspired by “Southeast Asian mythology”, where players follow the tale of a young girl with special powers, confronting warlords and their characters own exploration. Combat is close to real-time, based around resources which deplete and replenish, so gameplay does not allow players to attack constantly, so be careful with your timing.

“Ajna discovers a mysterious power – the power to absorb certain individuals into her being. Furthermore, fusing with these “Incarnations” will not only allow her to summon them into battle, but also grant Ajna new weapons and abilities.”

A prototype is available for download on Linux , Mac and Windows PC. The in-game controller setup is straight forward. Which is also a nice added feature for a prototype, along with a quick tutorial, which leads into murderous platforming fun. The demo throws new things at you constantly, so this makes for some interesting gameplay. The music is reasonable and the sound effects are definitely in perspective. Not to mention the demo itself plays rather smooth on Linux. So we can only imagine what the final gameplay will be like.

Lab Zero says that Indivisible will feature a “large and diverse cast of characters,” with more than 25 playable “Incarnations.” Those characters will join protagonist Ajna as playable party members, as will the following cameo characters borrowed from other titles:

  • Annie from Skullgirls
  • Calibretto from Battle Chasers
  • The Drifter from Hyper Light Drifter
  • Juan from Guacamelee
  • Lea from Curses N’ Chaos
  • Shovel Knight from Shovel Knight
  • Zackasaurus from Super Time Force Ultra

Lab Zero Games are looking for $1,500,000 USD on Indiegogo to fund development of the platformer. And if the campaign succeeds, publishers 505 Games will put up the other $2 million Lab Zero needs for full development. If not, Lab Zero get no Indiegogo money, which they keep open about, unlike some other crowdfunding campaigns. But backers give money to the developers and the game, then publishers then get a share of profits.

“This is a fixed funding campaign, which means Indivisible will only happen if we reach our goal. 505 Games has generously agreed to contribute a further $2 million toward its development only if we reach that goal. So for us here at Lab Zero, your contribution counts for more than double!”

Lab Zero cannot raise $3.5 million just through crowdfunding and 505 will not pay more, so Indivisible will be developed in it’s current design. Should players want to back the project, $30 will get you a copy of the game when finished by January 2018.
