All Walls Must Fall hours left for Kickstarter
Back in gaming news, developers inbetweengames have a few hours left for All Walls Must Fall on Kickstarter. Hence this #isometric tactics game for Linux, Mac and Windows PC. Where all the action happens to the intense beat of the music. While combing #XCOM #gameplay with Crypt of the NecroDancer.
Here’s the deal
So gameplay consists of players controlling time travelling secret agents. While jumping and looping through a single night in the city of Berlin. All using a pause-able real-time system. Hence carefully planning decisions and using powerful time manipulation abilities to their advantage. So as you fulfil your mission in shadow or in plain sight. The levels are procedurally recombined using a system developed by inbetweengames. Hence giving All Walls Must Fall a highly replayable campaign. While also offering individually crafted components and set-pieces.
Why does this matter?
So a bit of background for inbetweengames. The team consists of three former AAA veterans. All of whom worked on Spec Ops: The Line, Dreadnought and Dead Island 2 at YAGER in Berlin. So collectively they have been working in the industry for over 30 years now. Then in the summer of 2015, one of their AAA projects, Dead Island 2 was forwarded to another developer. Hence where the trio made the decision for change. So they joined the Ludum Dare game jam and made The Mammoth: A Cave Painting in 3 days. People liked it, so the beginning of inbetweengames. And as a smaller studio in Berlin. They are now really creating what they real want, All Walls Must Fall.
So from a Linux gaming perspective. I have played the pre-Alpha and it’s impressive, hence the news. And sinc the Kickstarter is already technically funded. The ultimate goal is to include West Berlin. As well as Alev the new female player agent in the game. So as you can see from the image above, this stretch goal is called Discrimination.
