The first is a new #trailer showing off gameplay footage from the latest build of the game.
The second, meanwhile, shows Comcept development staff testing out the game’s Online Race mode, in which players rush to get through a stage while defeating and absorbing enemies to get a higher score than their opponent.
Originally announced as a Kickstarter project in September 2013, Mighty No. 9 smashed its $900,000 goal and received over $3,845,000 in pledges.
The brainchild of Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune, Mighty No. 9 is clearly influenced by the Capcom platformers, with gameplay and combat similar to that of the NES Mega Man titles and the SNES Mega Man X series.
Mighty No. 9 uses his arm cannon combined with a powerful dash maneuver to destroy his robotic foes and absorb their power, a modernized take on the classic platforming gameplay of the Mega Man series.
The game will be released on a total of ten formats: Linux, Mac, Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, Wii U, 3DS, Vita.
