The most exciting video games these days are those sleeper-hit indie titles on #Steam. As a result players having no idea what the next big #sensation will be. Which is the case with Enter the Gungeon for Linux, Mac and Windows PC.
Taking 2016’s two biggest surprises and it’s clear to see how Enter the Gungeon. Hence storming onto Steam to the tune of 200,000 copies. True fact, the bullet-hell combat, roguelike randomizations. Hence complete utter violence, brutal boss fights, and frustrating multiplayer. A true grind that will test the patience of a lot of players.

“Enter the Gungeon is a bullet hell dungeon crawler following a band of misfits seeking to shoot, loot, dodge roll and table-flip their way to personal absolution by reaching the legendary Gungeon’s ultimate treasure: the gun that can kill the past. Select a hero [or team up in co-op] and battle your way to the bottom of the Gungeon by surviving a challenging and evolving series of floors filled with the dangerously adorable Gundead and fearsome Gungeon bosses armed to the teeth. Gather precious loot, discover hidden secrets, and chat with opportunistic merchants and shopkeepers to purchase powerful items to gain an edge.”
On the other hand, Stardew Valley has sold a respectable amount of copies despite zero to no PR hype before the release. Which is definitely a more laid-back and relaxing game and expect to come to Linux. However, given that fact that XNA was the engine of choice, it could be a while.
Yet Enter the Gungeon is available now on Steam for Linux, Mac and Windows PC. A huge congratulations to Dodge Roll.
