Octodad: Dadliest Catch will be getting co-op gameplay

Young Horses‘ Kevin Geisier has clarified that the #update has added “multiple mouse support” to the local co-op feature. “Previously, you needed #controllers on PC for additional players,” he said, “but it now accepts multiple USB mice, trackpads.”

Multiplayer co-op is coming to Octodad: Dadliest Catch, and the title is currently 50% off on Steam.

An update published yesterday confirms that the patch also brings two new Shorts – “Dad Romance” and “Medical Mess” – as well as a story-mode timer, new temporary checkpoints and a host of other improvement and stability tweaks.

Developer Young Horses detailed in the patch notes that “multiple mice support for co-op” will also be rolled out, suggesting that co-op may initially be restricted to local multiplayer for now. To clarify this, we’ve reached out to Young Horses on the multiplayer feature and will update you as soon as we know more.

The patch is live and available now. For more, check out Octodad: Dadliest Catch‘s Steam Community page.
