One Eyed Kutkh, a simple adventure game for #Linux, Mac and Windows PC. Hence being inspired by #stories from the #indigenouspeople of Russia’s Far North. Yet set in space and starring a one-eyed space creature. When Kutkh’s ship crashes, he goes journeying through space.
Baba Yaga Games explain, “A lone traveler crashes on a mysterious planet on his way home. To continue his journey, he’ll have to get to the ninth heaven, deceive the Sun and the Moon and steal their space-boats.”
There is a browser-based demo, hence this does not work on Linux. And it seems like gameplay is friendly to all ages. There are no dialogues in game, only infographics thought bubbles. Which we understand to be a bit confusing, hence the game throwing up icons trying the solution.
One Eyed Kutkh Features:
- A mix of fiction and fairy tales of the Far North
- The unique graphic style
- Explore the World Tree
- Two playable characters
- The game tells its story through the action
- Interesting and simple puzzles for everyone: from child to eld
Baba Yaga Games explain further:
“At first, we planned this project as a performance in the puppet theatre. But then we realized this idea would probably be much more exciting in a game form. Hence video games have little to no limitations of the theater. We could use space as we wish, create more layers of meaning and make new experiences for the players.
The genre of the game is a point-and-click adventure. Because it tells a new and compelling story. Our most important goal is to tell an engaging story through the player’s interaction with the world we’ve created.”
Baby Yaga Games plan to release One Eyed Kutkh in 2017. Hopefully before the end of March on Linux, Mac and Windows PC. Yet anyone can give the game a VOTE on Greenlight because this is a game worth playing on Steam.
