So Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire‘s has now set big milestone in gaming. While the Fig launched for Linux, Mac and Windows PC, it was funded with the 24 hours. Since raising over $4.4 million, the first crowdfunded project to pass $4 million in gaming since 2015. Now joining the likes of Shenmue 3 ($6.3 million) and Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night ($5.5 million).

Both of those games were on Fig competitor, Kickstarter. While unlike Kickstarter, Fig allows for equity backing, which could give people a share in a game’s profits. Before Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire, Psychonauts 2 was Fig’s most successful crowdfunding campaign. Hence going on to raise more than $3.8 million.
